Procedural Sedation

Home    Procedural Sedation

Procedural Sedation is a technique in which a sedating medication is administered often in combination with analgesics. It allows a patient to undergo procedures by inducing decreased levels of consciousness. It is commonly used in the emergency medicine setting in addition to operating-room and non-operating-room procedures.

Using procedural sedation brings down a patient’s anxiety and makes the patient more comfortable while undergoing the procedure.
